Welcome to The Official Web Page of the Optimist Club of Moore.
The club is located within Moore Township, in Lambton County, in the Province of Ontario, just on the outskirts of Sarnia, Ontario (Canada's Chemical Valley).
Our Club was chartered in 1967 and has been active within our community since that time. Our official meeting place is in The Courtright Community Centre, better known locally as "The Silverdome".
We currently have 60 members who are dedicated to the improvement of the quality of life in our community and to the enhancement of the lives of the children within our community.
In addition to providing various services to the youth of our community to enhance their lives we all provide interesting and fun activities for our membership. We hold our monthly dinner meetings the second Monday of each month. In addition to having a great meal at each of these meetings we also hold a business session and normally have a speaker on some topical subject or we may have some youth group that we sponsor put on a demonstration for us, whether it be a dance group or a gymnastics group.
